Coffee With a mission
Ecuador has over 210,000 orphans and abandoned children, with no official foster care system.
We partner with Fundación Contigo based in Quito to minister to hundreds of orphans each year. Many are special needs children that have been abandoned due to their parents’ inability to care for them. We are personally involved, traveling frequently to Quito to carry supplies and improve living conditions in several orphanages.
As you enjoy this rare, single-origin, fair trade, organic coffee you are contributing to the economy of Ecuador while bringing business to our Atlanta-based roasting partner Radio Roasters. We donate a portion of the proceeds from every bag of coffee directly to the orphans of Ecuador. They have asked that we not post pictures of the orphans online, but we'd love to talk to you more about the ministry if you are interested. Drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org

More about the coffee:
ecuador | Fair Trade | Organic
Ecuador exports less than .3% of the world’s coffee. Despite the fertile soil and ideal equatorial growing climate, most of their beans are destined for the locally-popular instant coffee market. We import our fair trade, organic green coffee directly from a small association in the south of Ecuador near the Peruvian border. They have won several "Taza Dorada" - or "Golden Cup" competitions for their excellent beans. Because of the unique growing conditions, Ecuadorian coffee tends to be lighter and cleaner tasting than you are probably used to - with some fruity and floral zest, depending on the roast. Speaking of the roast, keep reading...
We have partnered with a small craft roaster in the Atlanta area called Radio Roasters, who specialize in single origin, small batch coffee roasting. We like that they have the word "radio" in their name, and the owner Chip Grabow is a rock star to work with!
We tested beans from 4 different sources in Ecuador, and three different development times and roast profiles before settling on this final product. We hope you enjoy drinking it as much as we enjoyed creating it!
